Requirements
Children entering the Co-op must meet the age requirement by September 30th of that
school year. Thus, children entering the four/five-year old class must be at least four
years old by September 30th.
Children entering the three-year old class must be at least
t
hree years old by September 30th.  For the two-year old Mommy/Daddy and Me class,
children must be at least 22 months by September 30th.

All children in the 3 and 4/5-year old
classes must be toilet trained. Our license
does not allow for non toilet-trained
children.  Children in the Mommy/Daddy
and Me program do not fall under this
guideline.  A changing area is available
for the use of these students and their
parent/caregiver.

As a cooperative, parental involvement is critical to the success of our program and part of
what makes our school unique.  Parents enjoy the opportunity to be active participants in
their child's education.  Many of our testimonials (link) refer to how this parental
involvement is what has made the experience of attending our preschool so meaningful for
the entire family.

Please note that parents enrolling multiple children complete the requirements for each
child.  Parental participation includes:

  • All parents of students in the 3 year old and 4/5 year old programs assist the
teacher in the classroom as a parent helper (link) approximately 12 to 15 times per
year, or more as needed. Parents provide a nutritious snack on their helper days.
They also share their talents by completing two parent projects (link) or serving on
    the board.

  • Parents of students in the 2's Mommy/Daddy and Me program attend each session
with their child (or another family member or caregiver attends in their place).  The
2's parents take turns supplying snack and straightening up the room after class.
Parents in the 2's classes also complete one parent project (link) during the year or
    serve on the board.

Tuition

GPCP is a non-profit organization so the tuition
we pay goes entirely to program costs. When
parents are involved in the decision making
process they have more control over the quality
of their child’s education. Quality costs money,
but the cost is offset by parent-completed
projects and fund raising.  These savings enable
us to afford highly qualified teachers and keep
tuition prices low. Our fees are generally lower
than other area preschools.
Please contact the enrollment coordinator for current tuition rates or to find out about our
payment plans.
