While some children are experiencing preschool for the first time, others in this class have previously attended GPCP or another preschool. An emphasis on reading and math readiness is an ongoing component of the 4/5-year old class day. This is facilitated through literature, seasonal themes, scientific exploration, art, cooperative play, and oral communication development. |

“The 4's program was a great developmental year for my son. [He] learned how to take responsibility for his work, and the projects were presented in a fun, social & interactive fashion, so that he didn't even realize he was learning pre- kindergarden material! He has been doing great this year in Kindergarten - both academically and socially -thanks to the solid foundation he gained at the Co-op.” – Sarah, parent |

Each year Mrs. Gregory meets with area Kindergarten teachers to insure that our program is preparing children for the transition to elementary school. Following state guidelines, this class has a maximum of 14 students. With a teacher and two parent helpers in the class each day we provide an excellent level of supervision. Children who are at least 4-years old by September 30th are eligible for this class that meets for two and a half hours three days a week. Sample 4’s Class Schedule Class times may vary; contact an enrollment coordinator for information on our current offerings. |
