Our newest program, which is a unique offering in the area, has become extremely popular. When this class was added in 2004, the GPCP purchased hundreds of dollars worth of toddler appropriate items including a toddler manipulative library, puzzles, stacking and sorting toys, water table, blocks, and linking manipulatives. These materials are reserved exclusively for use in the two-year old class. The emphasis of this program is on providing children with a first group experience with the support of a parent or caregiver. Parents have an opportunity to make connections with other families and to benefit from the guidance of a professional early childhood educator. “Miss Laura is a wonderful teacher. She is extremely patient and kind to each and every child…. I have gained insight into new ways to structure activities and follow the child’s lead. She is an expert in teaching developmental concepts in fun and creative ways. The 2-year old class provides a terrific opportunity for Mom (and Dad) to experience quality time with their child while learning and playing together.” - Stephanie, parent |

Students typically attend with a parent; however, other family members or special family friends sometimes attend. In some cases, a grandparent or another caregiver accompanies the child on a regular basis. Parents of multiple children enrolled in the same section have the option of having one family member/caregiver per child or one parent/caregiver total. |
