Emergency Closings and Delays Policy

GPCP follows all closings and delays of the Granville Exempted Village School District. A two hour delay results in the cancellation of all morning GPCP classes. A one hour delay results in the cancellation of the 9am 2s Class. Parents can obtain Granville closure/delay information from many local radio and television stations and the Internet.

In the event that GPCP needs impose a cancellation or delay independent of the public school system, a calling chain will be activated by the School Administrator who calls each Class Representative. Each Representative will call the first family on the calling list, and that family will call the next listed family and so on until all families have been contacted. Each family is provided a School Directory after the start of each school year that contains the calling list for each class.
